Reverend Dr.

Perrico J. Robinson Sr.

Rev. Dr. Perrico J. Robinson, Sr. is a passionate and dynamic leader in ministry, hailing from Jackson, Tennessee, the historic birthplace of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He answered the call to preach at the age of 14 in Selmer, Tennessee, beginning a lifelong journey of service, leadership, and spiritual impact.

Dr. Robinson earned a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies, with a concentration in Church History and Preaching, from Freed-Hardeman University. He furthered his theological and pastoral training by obtaining both a Master’s degree and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling from the Rawlings School of Divinity and Andersonville Theological Seminary. He is also a Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor and grief counselor, equipping him to minister holistically to both the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals and families.

With over two decades of ministry experience, including more than 12 years in pastoral leadership, Dr. Robinson is widely recognized for his powerful and engaging preaching, marked by a strong emphasis on the transformative love of God. His ministry journey includes pastoring Point Pleasant C.M.E. Church in Athens, Louisiana, and St. Luke C.M.E. Church in Champaign, Illinois. Church.

Beyond the pulpit, Dr. Robinson is deeply committed to community impact and advocacy. As a grief counselor and Centralized Bereavement Coordinator for Gentiva/Heartland Hospice, he provides compassionate care and support to families across the Michigan-East region. He has also been an active voice in addressing a range of social justice issues, using both his platform and his pen to bring awareness and inspire change. Through thoughtfully written articles and public reflections, he engages critical conversations at the intersection of faith, justice, and community.

A guiding scripture in his life and ministry is Ephesians 3:20: “Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Dr. Robinson’s ministry is defined by a commitment to preaching, teaching, healing, and advocacy, building lives and communities that are rooted in faith and built to last.
